Hello Columbia Families, As we prepare and count down to the new school year coming this Monday the 24th, we welcome you all back with enthusiasm, and to our freshmen and new students, a special welcome to you! We know that start to the new school year is not ideal; however, we will do our best to make it just as unique and close to the real thing as possible. With everything starting online, the first week will consist of adjusting to the new setup and getting everything figured out, so don't worry about being thrown into the deep end so-to-speak. Our role in this is to be here to answer all your questions about the summit learning platform and help your experience be as smooth as possible with the platform. We will provide real-time and up-to-date information regarding the platform and any issues/solutions to problems that arise. Don't worry. We are not planning for this to be a permanent solution; the Nampa School District has plans to re-open schools when it is safe to do so. However, in the meantime, we will have to work remotely. On that note, Columbia High School has recently supplied every student with a device (laptop). If you or your student have/has not received yours or you need a wi-fi hotspot, please make sure to email CHSSecretaries@nsd131.org to get your device or to find a time collect it. We also know that most of you have questions regarding how Distance Learning will work; because of that, the staff at Columbia High School have made a FAQ regarding Distance Learning. The FAQ can be found on our Distance Learning page found at https://www.summitonboarding.com/distance-learning-faqs. The FAQ should help to answer your most common questions regarding starting back to school online, what to expect, and how to handle it. Additionally, we placed a bell schedule on our website, since people were asking what the new bell schedule is and had a hard time finding it before. From everyone at Columbia High School, we are going to miss seeing you guys in person for the first days of school; however, we are grateful that we still get to teach and learn with you this year. As we re-open, we will have precautionary measures in place to protect students and teachers. You can find a list of said preventive measures Here.
